Hi,

1. Don't read camera forums! Even the smallest difference will be blown up to elephant size.

2. Get to a shop and try them both. What fits better is better.

I used to have Nikon SLRs and DSLRs for about 20 years. Switched to Canon because my gear got stolen and at that time Nikon did not offer full frame, the f4 zooms and fast primes.

Now Nikon has full frame and they also offer a full f4 zoom range with VR. Plus almost all the fast primes that Canon has. I think there is not enough difference in the lens range today to be important. Nikon improved with their lenses. Canon with their flashes. So finally it is pure personal taste. Both systems are winners.

That was a rather long way to say: It doesn't matter at all.
