GH2 vs GH3 - Long Exposures and Astrophotography (Test shots inside)

Made these mostly for myself, but thought I'd share them since it wouldn't be much effort.

Technical details:
Both camera's were set at ISO 1600. Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 was used and set to f/16. Shutter speed was 60 seconds. Standard film mode with Contrast/Sharpness/Saturation/Noise Reduction set to 0. White balance was set at 3500 Kelvin. All 8 images were saved as JPEGs with the compression set to 80% and uploaded to dpreview.

The subject is an unlit park below my apartment, the only illumination was coming out of the windows of said apartment. The two shots were taken moments apart using the same lens.

First, the Out-of-camera JPEGs.

Next, how the raw files appear in LightRoom:

Raw files Pushed 2 stops in LightRoom:

Finally, How the raw files look....raw, without Adobe applying some under-the-hood processing. I converted the raw files to DNG and opened them in MaxImDL which is an astrophotography orientated software package. (I couldn't get RawTherapee to work properly with the GH3 raw files)

This shows the actual camera output without the hot pixels automatically removed and such. The GH3 looks quite clean, even when compared to APS-C sensors.

Hope these are of any use to anyone.
