your opinion: Canon 24-105 f/4L vs Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 VC

I've read quite a few reviews on both, but would like some additional feedback. As a general/multi-use/walkaround lens, which one would you recommend on a 5DIII? I'll be using it primarily for indoor/outdoor family snapshots, landscapes, and some video. Specific questions I have:

1) Which would you choose as your all-purpose walkaround lens?

2) Which one will be better for video? (Does either have loud AF?)

3) For those familiar with the Tamron, how bothersome to you is the "onion-like" bokeh in highlights reported in some reviews? What about the vignetting? just fix in pp?

4) Indoor/low-light capability is important to me, but does the added reach of the Canon outweigh the benefits of the faster Tamron?

5) Do either of these two have an advantage for landscapes?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Jared
