I am shooting about one property a week in a little sideline business in the Boston area ...

I got the D600 precisely because real estate is often a dynamic range nightmare ... and this new class of Sony sensors is a dramatic improvement when you are trying to get "all of it" captured. I will not have to bracket or use flash as much, saving time; especially time in post.

Here is an example: a simple shot of the entrance to a condo in Lexington

- original as shot: iso 200/ f8.0 1/100 14-24 AFS@16mm (picture style was camera neutral with contrast reduced BTW!!!). I shot to preserve most of the highlights out of doors.

- as delivered to my client: I use the 2010 ACR "process" when I really need to lift shadows a lot. The "fill light slider" is still the most powerful tool for this. The 2012 "process" has more integrity, but not as much brute pull. What amazes me about the detail that pulls from the deep tones from this sensor is how reasonable the color is ...
