K01 is a brick with a lens

As others have said here, camera "feel" is a personal thing. That being said, I'm surprised you didn't like the K-5, which is widely considered to be one of the best handling bodies ever made. I find the K-30 to be excellent in the hand as well, and conversely I always found the K10D and K20D to be a bit on the large side considering the Pentax pedigree for small-ish cameras.

As to the K-01: that one is a lot more controversial. Personally, I find it to be a very enjoyable camera to use, more "fun" in fact than my K-30 which although a much more capable camera gets used *less* than the K-01 because of that "fun factor." It has a solid but quirky feel to it that somehow makes me want to make photos with it. But how do you measure something like that?
