I'll elaborate what someone already mentioned on this thread.
X10 with f/2.8 on the longer end can be used for portrait. Combine that with Fuji's super awesome low light capabilities (as well as the slow synchro flash), and you have the ability to take people photos at night without a tripod and on the longer end, even be able to get a little bit of bokeh.
I have used this camera (as well as the X100) and feel that they perfectly compliments each other X100. Together they can cover all your photography needs.
I'm a little biased in favor of X10 because it has a slightly larger lens and its much cheaper now and it can easily beat a lot of very expensive cameras.
