Bought a Tokina ATX Pro 28-70mm lens without aperture control

Hi all,
I ended up buying a Tokina AT-X Pro 28-70mm F2.8 Minolta / Sony Alpha mount lens for my Sony Nex 5n. However, I made a rooky mistake and I did not realise that this lens does not have manual aperture control on the lens. I already have a few legacy lenses and was expecting this to also have a manual aperture control. I don't really need image stabilisation or auto focus.
What would you recommend I do? Is my only option to purchase a LA-EA1 or LA-EA2? or are there other adapters which would give me aperture control?
Thanks,
Richard
