Loss of Exif Data

I am a new owner of a DP2 Merrill and used the Sigma Photo Pro software I did a batch conversion of raws to tiffs.  I then imported the tiffs into LR4.  When this was done the EXIF data , aperture, iso and etc. was missing.    Is this a problem with the program or did I make a mistake on the export of the files?
