Does IS need to be turned off when using S95 on a tripod?

I am aware about dslr(s) needing to have the IS turned off when using them on a tripod, but what about a p&s like S95? I didn't turn it off recently when using night time long exposures on a vacation, but not sure if i should have. I didn't notice anything bad about the pictures. Is there something i need to look for that is not right by leaving IS turned on when my S95 was on a tripod? Thanks.
