Please Canon, make the WFT-E7 compatible with all EOS xD...

WFT-E7  - Wifi, Wired network and Bluetooth module for 5D mark III

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but please Canon, could you make the WFT-E7 compatible with all the bodies, and not just the 5D Mark III?  (e.g. 1D-X, 5D2, 7D...)

It's just a few lines of programming and a firmware upgrade, you can do it...

In fact, it's amazing in this day and age that you have decided not to, I can't believe that it makes any good business sense... it would be such a bonus.  Otherwise everyone is going to turn to third party offerings.  Common accessories across the range: it's a good idea!

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

For those that don't know it, it's the module that adds WIFI, a network socket and bluetooth connectivity.  It simply plugs in with a cable via the USB connector, and can be bolted under the camera or to a bracket or carried separately attached with a longer cable.  So it could be connected to any of the bodies, it's just programmed not to
