V2 against V1 against the rest of the Nikons...

First I want to say that this is not a final test since there is no raw converters yet for the V2

and its not fair to compare jpegs with raws...

Second I used both the V1 and the V2 in automatic matrix and dialed in minus 0.3 because both

cameras have a tendancy to shoot brighter then they should... they also both have a tendany to

shoot colder.. something I normally correct in the raw converter....or manual WB..

As you can see from the sample that the V1 and V2 are both good enough for many applications

since the output is slightly better then Velvia 35mm was... but compared to the rest of the Nikons

its not quite there.. well that was expected....

I will redo these samples when the raw converters for the V2 will come out..

Note that the V1 out of Lightroom doesnt do worse then the V2 jpeg OOC...

The v2 has about gained 0.5 stops though which isnt bad........ it also starts at 160 iso only..

and all the others here are 100 iso.....

The scans are highend scans....frm Velvia 100..
