Any low light AF tips for XE-1?

In low light I increase the size of the focus rectangle to max, disable AF illuminator, use single center AF. If it doesn't lock at first I switch to vertical orientation and try again. If it still won't lock I have learned to just stop trying to avoid frustrating myself. This camera has low light AF problems, we just have to live with it.
