The GX1 / G15 question ?

1 Alpha DSLR + 2 lenses = about 3 times weight of G1X and a full backpack of gear.

Yes, Sigma 50 2.8 macro is a good macro lens,

but it requires MF for closer than 1:3 macro work,

it needs to be stopped down to f5.6 for good sharpness and less CA, not so good bokeh,

it has much worse min focusing distance for 1:1 true macro which will scary away all the insects.

I am not a macro professional, so for folks like me G15 or G1X+250D will be better more portable macro options.
