lol, no. Not missing anything. Just laziness. I tend to leave the camera in P mode just in case my wife wants to shoot something, and I will often pick it up and shoot a few that way if it's just a family snap... Then I tend to switch to Av, which is the way to go. Then I decide if I leave it in auto ISO, or pick a speed to suit.

So I do agree that Av is the main mode to use. Tho I do go full manual quite a bit too.
