What mode is your camera most often in? Why?

I am a beginner, and want to do artistic and landscape photography. I always heard that one needs manual control for the most creativity. But I am reading here that a lot of people including artistic photgraphy shooters keep their camera in aperture priority mode most of the time.

What mode do you most often use, and why?
