Canon iPF5100 not available in Canada

Good days,

I've been considering to purchase this printer for some time. It is on sale at B&H at the moment.

Because I live in Canada, I contacted Canon through their CPS program and asked if they could get me in contact with a dealer that stocks one of these units and the answer I got back was quite surprising; "Please be advised we no longer have stock of the iPF5100.  The next available compatible model is the iPF6400 which we have one of in stock".

They provided me a good price on the iPF6400, though still above B&H price considerably...

Besides, my budget won't allow me to go double the price of iPF5100.

I was wondering why iPF5100 wouldn't be available in Canada, not even special order!!!.

I'll just drive south and get one, as B&H ships them free of charge. I'll pay the duty etc and it would still be cheaper to what they were used to sell for. Just can't figure out why here in Canada we are always limited in product range!!!
