Some of the parts in Capture NX2 are a little bit confusing implemented, especially those which deal with profile handling and color spaces etc. Thus it's often also a try and error approach when trying out more advanced settings.
For printing images I would also probably use a more ICC-aware color management printing software, maybe "Qimage" or the like. Though here you then best use a complete profiled workflow, with color profiled monitor, cam and printer, so things look afterwards printed also nearly the way you saw it on screen.
