How many exposures possible in AEB for 5D3?

Canon says you may only have 3 exposures when using Auto Exposure Bracketing, yet many websites claim you may select as many as seven! Canon's tech support and manual state the number is a paltry three exposures. Since I don't have the camera, can someone please tell me that Canon is not wrong? Thanks.
