Is 35mm F1.4 worth getting if you have 18-55 zoom?

Well, the 35 mm kit lens for my X-Pro 1 is, to me, a better kit lens than the 18-55 mm zoom.

People speak as though the 35 mm lens not a kit lens.

The 18-55 mm kit lens for the X-E1 is probably good, but I don't know if I'd choose it over the 35 mm.  Opinions will vary, of course.  Personally, in a two lens kit, I'd choose the 18 mm and 35 mm lenses , over the 18-55 mm zoom and 35 mm lens.
