Any recommendations in which video light would be good to mount on a Nikon D300s for shooting interviews, events, or writing on a whiteboard?

Was considering something along this line and price range:

www.vistek.ca/store/ProVideoOnCameraLighting/262191/manfrotto-midi-led.aspx

www.vistek.ca/store/ProVideoOnCameraLighting/259552/rotolight-professional-48led-b-shotgun-mounted-camcorder-led-ligh.aspx

Any information would be helpful.

I think that both of those would produce semi-harsh shadows and 80W is not a whole lot of output. Also, using these on a whiteboard would most likely create overpowering glare unless you're careful to shoot off angle. These would be good for events because of their portability but there again may or may not have enough power.

For interviews and whiteboards where the subject is stationary I might recommend these as the light output is strong and the shadows are very soft. (Twice the price you were hoping for though.) For white boards it would be best to locate these on opposite sides aimed at the whiteboard at 45 degree angles to avoid glare.
