Red glare with Nikkor 16-34 f4, help please

Hi all, I recently purchase a Nikkor 16-35 f4 lens and I have an issue with it. In exposures larger than 3200ISO/30 seg. the lens produces a red glare to the right and a red stripe in the lower corner too. The issue is there even with the VR and AF off. I've read about a similar issue in some units in the past. I,d like to know if someone resolved the problem and how, please, because the nikon service in my country is sceptical about it. They say that never saw something similar. Finally was the VR unit?

As you can see, the glare is in the bottom to the right. With more exposure and/or with a darker frame, the stripe is more evident. Totaly useless for large night exposures
