The D800E has no aa-filter, so its files will seem sharper. If I remember right the formula is: anything less than a 20% increase in resolution is below the threshold of perception. (Not mentioning the fact that we are talking about false detail).

I had the aa-filter taken out of my D3 and didn´t see a difference in real world shooting. 600 Euros not so well spent. (I have two Fuji S5´s without aa-filters and the difference is clearly visible).

But I´m not saying that there is no difference, if done right, focus nailed, no vibration, lenses finetuned, the D800E will, of course, seem sharper.
