Re: Can you post a picture? Here is what it looks like on the A99 and new HVL-F60M flash

I had the a77 + a99 and the 58AM flash.  I found it very annoying to continually need the adapter to use the 58AM + A99.  HSS was disabled in anything but the default flash orientation; meaning a bounce shot or any rotation?  Limited to 1/250 sync.  Also the 58AM seemed wobbly somewhat on camera and I was nervous about it being mounted all the time.

For what it's worth, the 600ex speedlight + 5D mark III need no adapter, has a switch you flip to the right to secure it (and it's very tight with no slack) and also I can now finally take a picture with HSS enabled at any flash orientation.  So yes, I can shoot my kids @ 1/1000 shutter indoors in bounce flash mode.

There is no free lunch as always.  With the Sony I could attach the cheap little 20AM and trigger the 58AM wirelessly; with the Canon you have to buy another $300 shoe mount gadget to do this.  There might be other options, but I haven't found any cheap low powered flash to trigger the big boy.
