Color accuracy 18-55 IS II lens, anyone?

Can anyone comment on the color accuracy of the Canon kit lens--18-55 IS II version?  I'm still undecided as whether to get this lens or the Sigma 17-70 2.8/4.5 (non-IS version) for my  trip to the scenic SW.  Cost is a factor, putting your recommended 15-85 out of reach.  So I'm still trying to find the best of the econo lenses for this venture.  If important, I shoot with a T2i,  and would only be printing to 11X14.
