Win 8 on older laptop--my experience

Sorry can't help you.  My laptop had the Dell supplied Broadcom 1390 wireless card.   It worked fine for Win 8, now it doesn't use its networking software like it did on Win XP.  Hopefully you can root around on the internet for something.  I did find a Dell win 7 driver for the touchpad.  Win 8 generic worked fine but didn't allow tweaking the way the dell one does.
