Just a couple years ago, if IQ was a primary concern, you had one choice..a dSLR. You had various lens combinations to match different shooting scenarios, but at the root of it was the SLR. Now, you can get essentially the same IQ from any number of camera bodies of varying sizes. Unfortunately they all have different "talents" so you need at least one from each category. RX1 or RX100 for casual/family stuff, SLR for wildlife or action, and a nex for everything else. It's a good dilemma though
