Shattered Christmas

Well, I spent a lot of yesterday working with aperture settings and shutter speed.  In the evening we put some ornaments on the tree.  I dropped one.  As I was getting ready to sweep it up I noticed the Christmas lights reflecting off the pieces.  I bet someone who understands photography could make a picture out of this situation that would be exceptional.  What could I have changed to make this a better print?

I'm enjoying my camera & doing a lot of surfing for teaching.  Thanks to everyone here for all their advice.:-)
