Just curious, would there be any difference in performance between ZE & ZF?

is there aperture ring with ZF ?

Theoretically, there shouldn't be any difference picture wise, and there will be an aperture ring with the ZF.  I used to use a 35 f2 ZF with an adaptor on my 5D2.  It was a chipped adaptor and was able to allow focus confirmation.  The images were spectacular.

I'm assuming you want the ZF for your canon so as to have the aperture ring.  Keep in mind, upon reviewing your images, you will never know what f-stop you used, as there is no way for the lens to communicate this info to the camera.  This particular fact always bothered me.
