Final verdict on D800 vs D800E

First of all, ARB, the term is measurebators, not measurebaiters.  Get it right :^)  For people who shoot lots of people, there won't be much difference and as you say may in fact not be desirable, although I suspect fashion photogs who shoot medium format for a living might just possibly have a different stance than us amateurs.

I would rather spend time in the dentist's chair without benefit of aneathesia than shoot people, other than the occasional holiday snapshot.  Give me critters and mountains every time.  The D800e has a look to the file which is identifiable after you've used it for a while, i.e. superior microcontrast without my having to touch a slider.  That, my friends is luxury.
