Olympus customer support: EM-5 cracked screen bezel defect does not affect dust or splash proofing

The previous cracked screen bezel thread is full so I can't post back there.

I just heard from Olympus Customer Support here in the UK. Olympus Tokyo are still investigating but they confirmed the crack defect does not affect dust or splash proofing.

This makes my decision easy: I won't bother sending my camera away for repair, as I think it'll just crack again at some point.
