NEX-5R Touch Screen Calibration

I've got NEX-5R and a bit frustrated with its touch screen. It's like my old smartphone, which was possible to use with stylus only. Virtually, it is not usable with fingers. Fingernails works better (funny enough, manual says to not use your nails to operate display), but accuracy is still not perfect.
I've tried the Calibration option. It displayed cross-mark in the left conner. I pressed the mark (confirmation beep). Then it displayed the mark in the right-bottom conner. I pressed the mark (beep). But it didn't change its place. Pressed the mark again around 30-40 times (each click followed by the beep confirmation). Only then it has moved to the center. One more click and the calibration is over.
It did not help, but my question is: Is it a normal way for calibration to work (only 3 marks and dozens clicking in one place)?
P.S. By the way, the confirmation beeps during calibration shows that display is very sensitive (it reacts on minimal touch with a thumb). I do not understand why it is so unresponsive during normal operation.
