5d mark II audio issue, firmware?

Hi,

i'm reporting an audio issue on my 5d mark II: recording a video the sound is silent. Changing the audio preference from Auto to Manual and setting the value to the max  I can hear someting very low and a bit cracking.

It can be an issue with the 2.1.2 firmware or my internal mic may be broken ?
