When I wrote "cheap" that was not meant to be sarcastic. In the world of professional musicians this is really considered a cheap instrument. Most professional level classical string soloist usually carries a magnitude more value in their instrument case than any professional photographer would in their camera bags.

Consider this: Camera collectors actually do not use their priced rare cameras on a daily basis. Instruments on the other hand - regardless of their age or value - must be played to keep their "soul". Therefore it is in the best interest of the collectors to lend their instruments to talented young players to play on them.
