Nikon 1 V1 with Canon FD lenses

With the prices down, how would the V1 be with Canon FD 50mm 1.8 for portraits?

Unlike the E-P2 and NEX C3, which I was considering, the V1 has a built-in EVF which is a must for manual focussing.

Has anyone used it with FD lenses? What are the chances of V1 becoming available as a body-only deal?
