RX1 is even more expensive if the photos are rubbish!

Thanks for the responses... I appreciate the diversity and sensible discussions about this.... I haven't changed my mind but I agree that in other parts of my life, I am definitely guilty of my own criticism in other areas. I own a piano keyboard which will always be better than I will ever be able to play. I think because I shoot every day for my job I don't need to justify buying expensive cameras as they are tools for my job including my Leica....

I understand why somebody who can afford would want the best...I just think it's a shame that they may never see the benefits of their purchases and I think this may be true of the RX1 in a lot of instances. This is my frustration with an industry obsessed with targeting these consumers and partly  I think in my opinion, some (by all means not all or the majority of) image postings are not great.... sorry!

At a certain level I think it is easy to be objective about really bad shots on many levels but I feel some may never agree with me.

I still think that opinions on this forum, even if contentious should be welcomed, and people should stop being overly defensive. When the forums become just ways of diluting intelligent conversation because everyone is afraid of stating how they feel about certain subjects the forum becomes stale and irrelevant.

Thanks for everyones interest in this topic which I find genuinely fascinating.
