I don't know about the size of the focus points on the K5 II/IIs.   Even though Pentax redid the AF system, I assume they are the same size as the K5.    The size of the focus points is something you have to be aware of.  However, most of the time it will focus where I want it to.

If I don't want to take chances I use f/5.6 or f/8 with a bounced flash.  Between SR and the great ISO performance, using smaller apertures is not much of an issue.

PS.  An earlier poster mentioned CIF.  I agree it is an awesome feature.   It works great for any shy critter, not just hummingbirds.  Using a cable release that locks (Canon and Pentax cable releases are compatible), the camera will take pictures for hours while you are doing other things.
