Amazon is not avoiding taxes, they are (as far as is known) complying with UK tax laws.
As an accountant you know full well that Amazon IS avoiding tax. Not evading tax which is criminal.
If you have a problem with Amazon's UK tax burden, you have a problem with the British government, not Amazon.
I have no problem with Amazon's UK tax burden. But it would appear that Amazon does. As it does with its US tax burden and with its tax burden in just about every country it trades in.
