Canon 6D Dominates in Low Light Focusing Test vs 5Diii vs 5Dii vs Nikon D600

The Canon EOS 5D mk III and 1D-X are snappier and faster with AF than the respective D800 and D4.

If the D600 is in good light faster than the 5D mk III and 6D, that means it trounces the D800 and D4?

Could be of course, but which lenses did you use for your comparison? If you used a slow AF-ing Canon lens, then the speed result in good light does not mean too much...

I see that you used the EF 24-70mm f2.8 L USM and the AF-S 24-70mm f2.8 G. That is not too unreasonable then, although the new EF 24-70mm f2.8 L USM II is MUCH faster in AF operation, and does AF faster (on 5D mk III at least) than the Nikon (on D800).
