Hi

I am getting a little frustrated with the quality of photography created by photographers from these extremely expensive cameras. For £2500 or £10000 depending on whether the camera is Nikon, Canon, Leica, Sony or whatever I find that often the photos posted are terrible. In the RX1, Leica M etc we have a beautifully sharp lenses, and fantastic innovation but too often the photographer creates images that are shockingly bad... e.g. street photos of people's back, shots of pets, strange angles of family members.

Most shots would look the same shot on cameras costing quarter of the price.... surely if you buy a camera that costs a fortune the postings should justify this expense. Obviously people can spend money on what they want but photography has to be at the heart of these purchases. I don't know if it's because people feel that their photography will improve if they have the best camera.... but as someone once told me you can't make a good shot out of a bad negative and you can't make a good image out of a bad digital file however expensive it may have cost.

I have seen too few reasonably good images from the early samples of the RX1 and too few decent images from the Leica forum recently from very expensive cameras....

I have a Leica by the way which I use partly for work so it's not a snobbery or troll issue.

just my thoughts....

I just love how you feel comfortable closing that post out saying it isn't a snobbery issue....wow..

You may wish to take note. This is not a photography forum. it is a gear forum. Get used to it.
