XE-1 and 18-55mm OOC JPG

Received the E1 and 18-55 lens a week ago. While the E1 is an amazing camera, I found the kit lens mediocre, especially for that kind of money. Short to medium distance the detail is there. It lacks detail at infinity. My 6 years old Sigma DP2 shows more detail wide open (f2.8) than the Fuji lens stopped down to f8. On the other hand the 35/1.4 is as good as it gets on E1
