753mm effective focal length: Pentax Q10 married with Takumar 135mm F2.5

My first attempts with this lens were a disaster. Focus, with these old manual lenses is critical. The more out of focus you are, the worse the chromatic aberrations. This shows you just how close you can end up with this lens. I'm maybe 9-10 feet from the cat. If I recall this was wide open...but might have been F4...I was switching back and forth. Not enough DOF to keep the cat's nose in focus. Contrast is considerably worse than with modern lenses, but detail is pretty good (though not at the pixel peeping level.)
