Certainly a market probably exists for a hotshoe mounted laser I'd imagine for photography. I think as soon as you build the laser into the camera the issue of lasers in eyes becomes an issue. Yes a hotshoe one would do the same thing, but less chance of it being accidentally on
I realise no all lasers would burn a retina as well.... I've certainly accidentally had the lasers used with multimode fibre shine in my eyes.....
