D800 Battery grip DOA

All is well now. I went to Tempe camera in Mesa and tried the grip on there d800  also pout there group on my camera and bothe  operated.  It hen put my group on my camera and it operated correctly. I did purchase another NIKON  EN L 15 battery..

what I have determined the 3rdparty battery that was sent to me from  B&H as a promotion when I purchase the camera seems to be what the problem was. This is the first time I have ever used any 3rd party batteries. I now many people have had good luck but I did not. Wen he 3rd party battery I installed in the grip it did malfunction as it at times when he camera was off it showed the battery as dead but when I started I to pull it out od the grip it would reset. This hapenen modern than once.

I have three other nikon cameras all using the Nikon batteries so I guess I was was one of the unlucky ones.
