Panasonic 14-140 vs Olympus 40-140 & 12-50 in their respective ranges

The Panasonic 14-140 is getting very good reviews along with its image stabilization.

However, I'm wondering if the excellent reviews is because of its superzoom status and not as good compared to more limited zoom ranges.

I have the Olympus 40-150 and the weatherproof 12-50 that came with the OMD kit.

Would the more limited range Olympus lenses be better than the Panasonic in terms of resolution and contrast?  i do find the 40-150 to be soft at the long end of the zoom. (i.e. 150mm)
