That is a much better set of tests!

Indeed, there is something very wrong with the downsampling.. it's losing resolution terribly..

The only hope would be a firmware fix, but that's never something to rely upon.

I would say that as soft as the A99 is, the Oly footage isn't perfect, if anything it's over sharpened, but much more pleasing to the eye..
