Maybe a silly question on wide-angle lens

Wide angle and fast is sort of a specialty area, and one where you are better served by a larger sensor.

Sure, an 11-16mm f/2.8 or something would be really nice, but we never saw one and Tokina never brought that one to Pentax.  I was hoping for DA* version of it or something.
