A65 on filters and hoods

I lost the hood that came with my A65 about the second time I took it out in the woods.

I know nothing about hoods or filters and paid no attention to what brand or whatever, the original was.

Anyway, bought a new one along with some filters.  The brand name of the stuff is Zeikos.

When I install the hood, I can see it through the view finder.  Surely that is not normal is it?

Even the filters cause the view thru viewfinder to have radiused corners that show up in the images taken with it on.  Again, that is not normal either is it?

The A65 has a SAL18135 lens with 64 mm diameter.  The Zeikos stuff also is 64 mm.
