Onlooker - I wondered if those would be overlooked. . .

Not a chance. The first one is strong. I like it a lot. The second has an interesting mood, almost Stieglitz-like, but there is something missing, perhaps tiny change in tonality, maybe too many details are sharp, it's hard to say. I would love to see the first plan and second being more distinct. Perhaps softer second plan, hazy-like, with light more diffused throughout in the background.

Yes, I had difficulty with the 2nd shot, the upper bridge tower not having as much visual impact as I feel it should or could.   What I've done to it could use re-visiting (maybe take the RAW into SEP and utilize the color filter for that consideration).

I love B&W, so hope you don't mind my obsessing over details like that. B&W is special, gets rid of noise and goes right to the heart of the scene.

I very much welcome such observations, from one obsessor to another [g].   When I post I often have questions about these things myself and others' opinions/questions of this nature help me - I'm either too close to the image to see clearly, or I wonder if others note the thing I'm unsure of myself.    Like now - the color version of the sidewalk under the construction bridging shows hints of banding (lower right) that I didn't see before (due to raising those tones a tad too much).
