Yeah, I'm aware of that. I've just never had such trouble getting hoods for other lenses to go on correctly as I am with this one. I think it may be a function of the hood being wider at 82mm, and shallower than the others. I just find it annoying to deal with. Not sure it does much good anyway.

I am not convinced that the hood does much either. Unlike with the original 24-70, I now feel nervous about taking the UV filter off the 24-70 II since that large front glass is so much more exposed with that tiny hood ...
