With a Nikon G- Fuji FX adapter, you can adjust aperture on the lens although you won't know the exact F size. If your Nikon camera has DOF preview button, you can estimate the size of the aperture by pressing the preview button and looking at the diaphragm opening, then make some markings on the G-FX adapter. This is only approximate but helpful to me. Metering still works. Turn the speed dial to A on the X-E1 and it can still function like in A priority mode, except no AF and IS.
